Cauliflower Fried Rice

“Healthy” Chinese for Dinner: Cauliflower Fried Rice


  1. 1 Head Cauliflower

  2. 1 cup shredded carrots

  3. 1 cup chopped onion

  4. 1/2 cup peas

  5. 1/4 cup baby corn

  6. 1 egg

  7. Green onion

  8. 2 tbsp. sesame oil

  9. 1 tbsp. soy sauce

  10. 1 tbsp. dark soy sauce

  11. 2 tsp. sesame seeds


  1. Cut cauliflower into smaller chunks and grate in food processor. It should be about the same size as a piece of rice.

  2. Warm 1 tbsp. sesame oil in wok or pan on medium heat. Add onion, carrot, peas, baby corn. Salt and pepper.

  3. In a side pan, fry the egg and chop in pan to break the yolk.

  4. Once the onion is translucent, add 1 tbsp. sesame oil and cauliflower to the wok.

  5. After 30 seconds, add soy sauce and dark soy sauce. Cook for 5 minutes, constantly stirring.

  6. Garnish with green onion and sesame seed and serve.
